Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

TrackRecord K9 (“we,” “the Service”) is a K9 search-and-rescue training logger at trackrecordk9.com. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use location features.

Who this is for

The Service is intended for adult handlers and teams. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child.

What we collect

Where it is stored

Without an account, records stay in that browser until you export them or clear the site’s data.

With an account, dog and session records sync to Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) so you can sign in on another phone, tablet, or computer. The website is hosted on Netlify. Those companies act as our service providers.

How we use information

We use it to run the logger, sync your devices, reset passwords, fix problems, and secure the Service. We do not sell your logs or email. We do not use GPS tracks for advertising.

Sharing

We share data with the providers above so the Service can function. We may disclose information if required by law. Other users cannot see your logs unless you export a file and give it to them.

Your choices

Retention and security

We keep account data while the account exists and for a reasonable time afterward if needed for backups or legal reasons. No website or app is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above.
